“ After a long day of exploring the city, our group of eight was ready for a bite to eat. On a busy Saturday night, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately upon walking in--no small feat in this bustling area! One standout feature was the ability to order directly from your phone. It made splitting checks a breeze and eliminated the wait for a server to take our orders. However, we couldn't help but notice the automatic tip charge, which felt a bit steep considering the lack of traditional table service. For food, we shared the buffalo cauliflower, a soft-baked pretzel, and a Caesar salad. Every dish was exceptional, but the buffalo cauliflower stole the show--possibly the best we've ever had! The service we did encounter was fast and friendly, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for great food and a modern dining experience, this spot is worth a visit. ”
“ We came for happy hour which runs from 3p-5p. It was seat yourself and there was ten of us so we really lucked out finding two tables right next to each other. Loved that they allowed kids. Very low key and laid back atmosphere but the bar tender and the server was super busy. I liked how you can use your phone to order and pay or else it would have taken a lot longer to get our orders in. The downside is all our drinks and food came out at different times. Server was very friendly and apologetic about the wait. Pepperoni flat bread was good, wings was amazing. Blueberry beer tasted like a smoothie and hubby enjoyed the porter and blonde saying those have been the best beers he's had recently. Gimlet was made refreshing and strong. Prices were very good for happy hour. $10 cocktails, $10 plates, and $6-7 beers. Highly recommend especially since it's hard to find a place where you can drink at happy hour prices with kids in union square! ”
“ Food: 4/5 Enjoy the HH dishes. The Cajun style shrimp with garlic bread was tasty. The shrimp were also a nice size. The chicken wings were ok, nothing to rave about. The drinks were delicious! Cold, somewhat strong, nice start to and Saturday around 3pm. Service: 3/5 The staff was quick and attentive when available. Because the items were ordered through the app, it takes away the interaction with the servers, so sometimes things might take a bit longer if there's a special request. Ambiance: 4/5 Very nice, warm fireplace and the decore has a very nice American rustic feel. Everything seems very clean and updated. The seats are comfortable at the high top seating. Bar looks great! ”
“ Loved this place. Fries were very crispy, burger was juicy, and the fish and chips were also great. Would highly recommend this spot especially if you're looking for a chill place over the weekend to watch sports and eat good American pub food. ”
“ We arrived at about 1:30pm for lunch, at the time we were the only ones there. This restaurant is beautiful with lots of food to choose from and drinks. We had a party of 5 , everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was great! If you're in Union Square great place to try. ”
“ Enjoyed an early dinner with colleagues after attending a conference near by. We reserved a table in advance and got a quiet space in the corner of the restaurant which was nice. We started with calamari to share which was delicious but a small portion. For my entree I had the crab roll which was a special for the day. It was light and fresh, I really enjoyed it. One of my colleagues burgers came very underdone which they corrected on the bill which was a nice gesture. Overall a nice stop to grab a drink and some food. ”
“ While on a business trip, I had the pleasure of dining here for dinner. It was so good I came back a second time (twice in four days). I liked everything about BH from the ambiance to the service to the cleanliness to the food. I ate at the very large bar both nights, and my bartender, Bruno, was excellent at his job. On two nights, I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad and the shrimp po boy. Both were excellent and tasted fresh and flavorful. It is evident that they have real bartenders who care about the drinks they make. Well done! I enjoyed the Perfect King, but my favorite was the Pineapple Express. ”
“ This is a solid happy hour place in downtown SF! Great value, great beers and wines, great bar bites, and great service! Bartlett Hall is conveniently located near Union Square and offers a welcoming and classy yet rustic atmosphere. I have enjoyed their happy hour special a few times now- haven't tried their regular menu yet. My favorites off the happy hour menu are the pepperoni flatbread and California wines! Service is always friendly and prompt; the bar/hall is clean and comfortable, and I always leave happy! ”
“ This is a great little bar with neat decor. The menu, ordering and paying are all done via QR code cubes on the table and your smart phone. The servers bring you a decanter of water, glasses silverware and your food. The food was great. They do automatically add 18% gratuity so be aware of that, in case you are thinking you could give less since everything is done on your phone. ”
